In the UK, the DNO must be notified under G98 or G99 before the system is connected to the grid. A 10kW inverter will normally need a G99 application. The manual recommends an 80A AC breaker, and a Type A RCD of at least 100mA where local regulations require an RCD. It also recommends a 300A DC breaker with 1\/0AWG cable on the battery side, 4 to 6mm² PV cable and an earth conductor of 16mm² or larger. The supplied CT must be fitted at the grid connection point with its arrow pointing towards the grid. Fit it out of direct sunlight and rain, ideally on a north-facing wall under an eave. Mount it vertically on a non-flammable wall with at least 300mm clear above, 150mm at each side and 800mm below where a battery cabinet sits underneath. Do not fit it in living areas, as fan noise can be noticeable. Two people are needed to lift the inverter. Only 40 to 60V batteries can be used; the inverter is not designed for high voltage batteries.
