Description
xHoymiles HF-800-WB 800W Plug-In Solar Microinverter Kit
The Hoymiles HF-800-WB is a compact 800W plug-in solar microinverter designed for small residential solar PV systems in the UK. Supplied from UK stock, it combines G98 compliance, anti-islanding protection, built-in Wi-Fi monitoring and a 12-year manufacturer warranty in one easy-to-install unit.
This kit includes a 5 metre AC extension cable with a UK Type G plug. European socket versions are also available, making the system suitable for customers in both the UK and selected European markets.
The MPPT reached a 99% accuracy when tracking the power of up to two solar panels that are connected in series and on the same location and inclination.
Note: If two panels are connected, they should be wired in series with max PV output 90Vdc.
UK Stock and G98 Compliant Microinverter
For any grid-connected solar installation, using a compliant inverter is essential. The Hoymiles HF-800-WB is G98 type-tested for use on UK low-voltage electricity networks and is listed on the ENA register.
ENA Connect Registration: VOLTD/21572/V1/A2
ENA registration reference: HOYMZ/18074/V1/A3
Built-In Anti-Islanding Protection
The HF-800-WB includes anti-islanding protection, an important safety feature for grid-connected solar systems. If the mains electricity supply is lost, the microinverter automatically stops exporting solar-generated electricity onto the circuit.
This prevents the solar system from continuing to energise the electrical network during a power cut. The inverter only resumes operation after the grid supply has returned and acceptable voltage and frequency conditions have been confirmed.
Built-In Wi-Fi Solar Monitoring
The Hoymiles HF-800-WB includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication, allowing system performance to be monitored through the compatible Hoymiles S-Miles platform.
Connect it to your home 2.4GHz network and track output through the Hoymiles S-Miles Cloud app, or use Bluetooth for local setup and checks. There is no additional communication unit to buy, mount or power. Once configured, you can check solar generation and inverter performance from a smartphone.
Simple Plug-In Solar Installation
The HF-800-WB has been designed around a straightforward plug-and-play concept. Compatible solar panels connect to the DC input of the microinverter, while the AC output connects to the property through the supplied 5 metre connection cable.
The included UK Type G plug cable gives additional flexibility when positioning solar panels on a balcony, patio, garden, garage, shed or other suitable location.
European plug versions are also available for compatible installations requiring a European socket connection.

Designed for Reliable Outdoor Solar Use
Solar equipment must operate through changing temperatures, rain, moisture and demanding outdoor conditions. The HF-800-WB uses an IP67-rated enclosure and fanless natural-convection cooling, helping reduce the number of moving parts inside the unit.
Its compact design allows the microinverter to be installed close to the solar panels, helping keep DC cable runs short and simplifying small residential solar installations.
High-Efficiency MPPT Performance
The integrated Maximum Power Point Tracking system continuously adjusts the operating point of the connected solar panels as light conditions change.
With nominal MPPT efficiency of up to 99.8%, the microinverter is designed to extract as much usable energy as possible from compatible solar modules throughout changing UK weather conditions.
