- USB and Wi-Fi communications
- Configurable AC input priority via LCD
Product Overview
The Elios 5kW grid tie inverter converts DC power from the solar array into standard 230V/50Hz AC power for use in the property or export to the grid. The high-efficiency MPPT tracker continuously optimises the operating point of the solar array to extract maximum power under all conditions.
The built-in anti-islanding function ensures the inverter automatically disconnects from the grid during a power cut, preventing backfeed to the distribution network. For installations where the DNO requires export limitation, the included current sensor clamp measures real-time household consumption and modulates inverter output between 0W and 5kW accordingly, including the option to set export to zero.
Wi-Fi connectivity allows the system to be monitored in real time via a smartphone app, providing generation data, status information, and fault alerts without the need for a separate data logger.

Installation and Safety Notes
Must be installed by a qualified electrician or solar installer. Grid-connected inverters must comply with G98 or G99 notification and connection requirements in the UK. The inverter must be correctly sized to the solar array. All DC isolators, AC protection, and earthing must be installed in accordance with BS 7671 and the MCS installation standard. Do not attempt DIY installation of grid-connected equipment.
