Description
xMini Rail Solar Panel Mounting Kit U-Shape Silver Aluminium for Metal and Flat Roofs
A complete silver aluminium mini rail kit for fixing solar panels directly to trapezoidal and corrugated metal roof sheets. Each kit is sized for 2, 3 or 4 panels and contains everything needed between the panel frame and the roof: U-shape mini rails with rubber pads and self-tapping screws, plus mid clamps and end clamps for 30mm or 35mm frames.
The silver finish suits standard silver frame solar panels and gives a tidy, uniform look on industrial units, workshops, garages, barns and agricultural buildings.
Key Features
- Silver aluminium U-shape mini rails, 120mm long (ING-SPR-120)
- Fixes straight to the metal roof sheet with self-tapping screws, with no long rails needed
- Rubber pad under every mini rail sits between the rail and the roof sheet
- End clamps (ING-SEC-30/35) fit 30mm or 35mm panel frames by turning the clamp
- Mid clamps (ING-SMC-30/35) for 30mm or 35mm frames hold two panels on one rail
- Three kit sizes: 2, 3 or 4 panels in one row
- Larger arrays are built by combining kits
Product Overview
Mini rail systems replace full length mounting rails with short rail sections fixed directly to the roof sheet. The rubber pad is fitted to the underside of each U-shape mini rail, and the rail is then screwed to the metal roof with self-tapping screws. Aluminium nuts slide into the rail channel to take the clamps, so the panels sit low and close to the roof.
Installation follows a simple sequence: fix the mini rails to the roof at the spacing set by the panel size, fit the end clamps to the first panel, add a mid clamp between each pair of panels, then finish with the end clamps on the far side. The end clamp is reversible, with one side for 30mm frames and the other for 35mm frames, so one kit covers most standard panels.
Each kit is matched to a set number of panels, so you get the right count of rails and clamps without buying parts separately.

Installation and Safety Notes
Installation should be carried out by a qualified solar installer or competent roofer. The roof sheet and the structure beneath it must be checked for condition and suitability before fixing. Mini rail spacing, fixing positions and the number of fixings must be set to suit the panel size, the roof profile and local wind and snow loads; consult the panel manufacturer's clamping zones before marking out.
This kit is designed for metal roof sheets fixed with self-tapping screws. It is not intended for tiled, slate, felt or membrane roofs. Fit the rubber pad under every rail, check the frame thickness (30mm or 35mm) and set the end clamps to match, and tighten all clamp bolts fully. Tools needed: T-handle hex key, cordless drill with socket bit, and work gloves. Always follow safe working at height practice, use suitable access equipment and edge protection, and have the PV system electrically installed and connected by a qualified electrician or MCS certified installer.
