Description
xBlue Smart IP65 Charger 24V 13A (1 Output) 230V AU/NZ Plug
The Victron Blue Smart IP65 Charger is a single-output, Bluetooth-enabled battery charger rated at 24V / 13A, supplied with an AU/NZ mains plug. It is designed for professional and trade use where a reliable, weatherproof charger is needed for 24V battery systems in vehicles, marine craft, or off-grid installations.
Key Features
- IP65-rated enclosure: protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, suitable for use in exposed or damp environments.
- Built-in Bluetooth allows full configuration and monitoring via the free VictronConnect app on iOS and Android, with no additional interface hardware required.
- Adaptive 7-stage charging algorithm covers bulk, absorption, float, storage, and reconditioning phases to suit a range of lead-acid battery types.
- Compatible with Gel, AGM, Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB), and conventional flooded lead-acid batteries; lithium (LiFePO4) mode also available.
- Output current adjustable via VictronConnect, allowing the charger to be set to a lower current where the installation or battery requires it.
- Supplied with DC connector and AU/NZ mains plug, ready for use in Australia and New Zealand without an adaptor.
- Weighs 2.2 kg, making it practical for permanent installation or portable use across sites.
Product Overview
The IP65 enclosure rating makes this charger suitable for locations where a standard indoor charger would be at risk: engine bays, battery compartments, boat decks, and outdoor plant rooms. The sealed housing resists dust and water spray without requiring an additional enclosure.
Bluetooth connectivity is built into the unit rather than added as an accessory. Using VictronConnect, an installer can select the battery type, adjust charge current, view real-time charge status, and review historical data. This is particularly useful during commissioning or fault-finding, as no physical display is needed on the charger itself.
The 7-stage adaptive algorithm monitors battery response during charging and adjusts accordingly. The storage mode maintains batteries at an optimal voltage during long periods of inactivity, reducing sulphation without overcharging. The reconditioning stage can recover deeply discharged or sulphated lead-acid batteries that a simpler charger would reject.

Installation Notes
This charger is intended for connection to 230V AC mains supply using the supplied AU/NZ plug. Ensure the mains circuit is protected by an appropriately rated fuse or circuit breaker. The DC output should be connected to the battery with correct polarity; refer to the battery manufacturer's recommendations for charge voltage settings. For lithium battery installations, confirm compatibility with the battery management system before use. Installation in a professional or trade context is recommended, particularly where the charger is being permanently wired into a vehicle or vessel.
