Description
xVictron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable 1.8 m
The Victron Energy RJ12 UTP Cable is a 1.8 m data cable used to connect compatible Victron devices via RJ12 interface. It is suited to installers and technicians who need a reliable, correctly terminated cable for Victron system communications without sourcing or crimping their own.
Key Features
- 1.8 m cable length, providing sufficient reach for most panel and device mounting arrangements.
- RJ12 connectors on both ends, terminated for direct plug-in connection to compatible Victron devices.
- UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction for data signal integrity over short runs.
- Lightweight at 44 g, adding negligible weight to any installation.
- Victron OEM part, manufactured to match the interface requirements of supported Victron products.
Product Overview
RJ12 is a 6-position, 6-contact (6P6C) connector format used across a range of Victron Energy products for device-to-device communication. This cable carries data signals between units such as battery monitors, panel displays, and other Victron components that use the RJ12 interface. Using a factory-terminated OEM cable removes the risk of wiring errors that can occur with field-crimped alternatives.
At 1.8 m, the cable suits installations where devices are mounted in close proximity, such as within the same enclosure or on adjacent panels. The UTP construction is appropriate for the low-noise, short-distance environments typical of these connections. For longer runs or electrically noisy environments, consider whether shielded cabling or alternative interface options are more appropriate for your installation.

Installation Notes
Confirm that the devices being connected use the RJ12 interface before ordering. RJ12 (6P6C) and RJ11 connectors are physically similar but are not interchangeable in all applications. Refer to the documentation supplied with your Victron devices to verify the correct cable type. No specialist tools are required to connect this cable, but overall system installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited installer.
